Baby Love

I love my babies!!!! I love to cuddle! It feels even better when you know they need you. :) Dakota is ready to go to sleep after her bath that night.
P.S. View Cloe's Blanket door in the background and that's our tiny hall we're standing in. Cloe was so happy when I put that blanket up, she said, "I have a door mom!!!"

All by Myself

Dakota is getting to be such a big girl, she loves to figure things out on her own. She also loves to eat by herself. I'll try to feed her and she won't eat, the minute I put the silverware down she starts eating. Which just means lot's of clean up for mom. Today she looked like she was pooping in her pants and then finished so I wen to change her and she hadn't gone potty yet so I kind of just teasingly asked if she would like to go on the potty she said her, "yahhhh" blah talk quikly tried to get up and go to the potty. So I sat her on there and she had her first poo on the potty. Yeah Dakota! :)
Cloe is really having a hard time getting on her pants. Poor girl she wants to do things so badly by herself. I'll say Cloe let me help you and she says, "I want to do it." After trying for awhile she will finally let me help her. I love that story in the recent Ensign about the little girl trying to help her mom bring in groceries. She tried to pick up the milk jug but was having trouble so her mom kept asking her if she could help but she insisted on doing it herself. This is so much like how our Heavenly Father desperatly wants to help us and relieve us of burdens, it's just that sometimes we won't let him. We want to do it ourselves, it reminds me of how I am still like a small child in many ways. :) Anyway, the child finally gave in and let her mom help her. Her mom picked her child up and still let her carry the milk in her arms. That is similar to how our heavenly father also still wants us to do things on our own with his help. I really liked that article so I thought I would share. It also reminded me of my sweet daughter trying to do things for herself.

Spur of the Moment

Monday night we were bored so we decided to go camping. On our way up Cloe had planned the lesson so she did it in the car. She talked about family's and who is in our family, what she likes to do with the family, and what can strenghten our family. Then we sang Families can be together forever. Brent took us camping at paintrock lakes. It was fun. We had to work together to figure out our new tent. Sat by the fire, and tried to sleep. The girls were coughing pretty bad so we only stayed one night and went fishing in the morning. On the drive we saw six bull moose, one big bull elk and, and lot's of deer.

Fireworks and Friends

The girls and I went over to some friends for her birthday party and then we went to the park and watched the fireworks with them. It was a nice evening. Brent even got to hang with us until he had to go to work at eight. He has started the night shift this week. It's going pretty good so far. Brent said he was supper tired his first night on but I think he will be better tonight. He got plenty of sleep today, especially since the girls and I were away.
Look at Cloe and Dakota Laughing together (on the far right in the front.) I hope they will be great friends.

Independance day

Cody Stampede Parade! Cloe says, "Look Mommy!"
Dakota got a piece of candy all by herself, all the big kids had passed over it.
Mom and the girls at the parade!
Doesn't Cloe look like she is enjoying her own little show! When they would toss some candy all the big kids would sworm the candy so she would look up and wait for more to be thrown. Which of course didn't happen. She did end up with a couple pieces.
Afterwords we ran into Trevor and Trish and their kids. Of all the people at that parade. :) Anyway, so we went to McDonalds together and a park nearby! It was good to see them. And Cloe Says...

Happy Face! :)

Four Eyes

Daddy has six eyes! :) Cloe says, "Wait mom..."
"I'm cool too!"

Family Home Evening

We went with brent's first day off as a good day to do FHE. Mom had the Lesson and we learned about prayer. I had the kids draw pictures of a sun, food, moon, something they are thankful for, and something they need or want. Then I taught them when to pray and some things to pray for. Then I quized them. I held up their pictures and asked, "When do we pray?", and "What do we pray for?" Dad had Activity. He said that he wanted to do a walk but then decided to take a drive in our new truck. So, we got popsicles for a treat and went for a drive around Greybull.
