Merry Christmas!

Us in our New Jammie's!
Uncle Steve and the Girls playing doggies at the Sanderson's.

Our Christmas Eve Snacks for the day and for Christmas day too! Cheeseball and crackers, one of my favorite things my mom used to make for christmas, Spinach and artichoke dip, cookies, and relish tray!
Daddy Ready for bed Christmas Eve.

We had a great Christmas! Brent was working over Christmas! We were still able to do our Christmas eve traditions together when he got home. We also drove up to Casper and celebrated with my family just before Christmas! It was a really nice trip and we got to finish our Christmas shopping! Christmas Eve we went over to the Sanderson's for dinner and to hang out! Then we came home opened one present, PJ's, and read The Night Before Christmas. And went to bed to wait for Santa. :)

Christmas Day Brent was able to stay home until noon and we got to enjoy our morning opening gifts, Brent made breakfast, and we watched a movie, and just enjoyed each other. The girls playing with their new toys and jumped on Daddy. It was a good relaxing morning. Then Brent went to work and we went over to a friends for lunch. Later after naps, we went and saw Brent at work and went over to the rec center for some basketball. We of course enjoyed talking to family and watching more Christmas movies. We had a great Day! I am so Grateful for the Savior and the Light he is to the world and to my life.
Before the Girls Found that Santa Came! When Cloe woke up she popped up and said "Santa" but when we went out to the tree I said,"Did Santa Come?" Cloe Said, "No." Then she opened her Lion cub she'd been asking for and I think she realized he had come. But later she kept saying, "Santa where are you?" "I didn't see Santa" I tried to explain that he came when she was sleeping.Playing with their new things!

After they found their goodies from Santa!
Merry Christmas!!!!!

Outside Fun!

We got Bundled up and braved the cold weather! The girls had a blast out in the Snow! I'm glad that we had Snow for Christmas. They made snow angels, got pulled around in the sled, Cloe through snow and made cupcakes. We had a lot of fun! Taking the time and getting ready to go out was worth it!

Santa

We went to our ward Christmas Party and the Girls got to see Santa! Cloe really wanted to see Santa but she was really nervous once we got up to see him.

Dakota on the other hand really wanted the candy from santa and did not want to sit with Santa!

Gingerbread

If you have never you should definatly make gingerbread for the Holidays. This was my first year making my own gingerbread for our gingerbread house. The best part is the smell that the whole house has during and after it's been baked. It is the most perfect smell of the holiday's I want to make some more just to keep having that smell around. I was up a little late trying to get the gingerbread baked so the peices would be stiff and ready to put together the next day! Brent Decided to head for bed before I was finished and he said he could not get to sleep because the smell was soooo good. The perfect smell for the holiday's, he says next year I should have them baking right before he comes home from work. I would say I really needed to do more decorating on it I'll have to give it more thought next year and the girls got to decorate their own grahm cracker houses cuz sometimes I like to have things done a specific way and I know it would be better if they had their own and it was. They ended up eating most of the decorations and not getting very many on their house. But we had fun!
And here are the girls in front of our christmas tree! They're cute little Goobers!

Anything Goes

I don't really have a specific thing to write about this post so anything goes! Here is a picture of the kids just chillin' having a marshmellow snack. And here are the girls doing a coloring page for the twelve days of christmas and they are also holding some santa hats that they made at story time.

I tried to get them to wear the hats but no picture came of it! :) We had a good weekend hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa Casey and Cousin Cameron. We got to hang out and fix some things on the house. Brent is really liking his job and is excited to keep moving up they want him to be the gang specialist for Big Horn County so it would be another week of school in May but it will be a good opportunity. I am having contractions daily and hopefully this will mean an easier labor later. We are really enjoying Greybull and I can't wait for christmas!

Christmas Everyday!

When LeeAnn was on her mission she told us about a family who does christmas everyday in december as one of their traditions. I thought this was really neat so I wanted to start it. This is our third year. At first I thought it sounded like a lot of work but fun but it ended up making things a little easier and being a lot of fun. We try to do at least one Christmas thing each day.

So far we have been:
1) Doing the Advent Calenders and drinking hot cocoa

2) Putting up Christmas lights and getting our tree

3) Decorating the house and tree for Christmas

4) Listening and singing christmas carols and dancing too

5) FHE: I had been asking the girls about what they wanted for christmas and so we talked about what gifts we could give to others for christmas

6) Reading Christmas Books and watching christmas movies

7) Christmas Shopping

8) Making and Ordering Christmas Cards

9) For School time we are learning numbers and singing and doing coloring pages for the twelve days of Christmas. Cloe is Counting to twelve and can write number one on her own and trace the number two.

Here is what we plan for the rest of the month:
  • More Movies and books, including Mr. Kruegers Christmas, and singing

  • Talking about the story of Jesus's Birth and acting it out and reading about it in the scriptures

  • Making Chocolate covered Pretzels, muddy buddies, and yummy cookies

  • Delivering goodies to friends

  • Making Paper Snowflakes
  • Gingerbread Houses

  • Wrapping gifts

  • Christmas Crafts

  • Doing a service for someone in need

  • Send Christmas Cards

  • More Shopping

  • Christmas/ family picture
  • See Santa and attend the Ward Christmas Party

Merry December! :)

Me Time

Most of my Posts are not about me, so to speak, but about my girls who I love and I'm glad I get to post about them all the time because they are so cute and I get to do fun thigns with them all the time. Yesterday was a day just for mom not being mom. Brent watched the kids and I went and got my haircut, to view it look at the picture above, and I got a massage, and I got to go shopping all by myself. It was a really good day. I did miss the girls a little but when I got done I realized how much I need to have time just to myself sometimes to think and feel and to be just me, not only that but when I got home I appreciated my children so much more and I was rejuvinated and wanted to do so much more with them. Oh and I'm really excited about my haircut it's a good change and I really like it! Brent was so good not only for watching the girls but also for having the house clean when I got home, that was a great surprise.
Also Today I stared substitute teaching. I am going to be subing classes on the days that brent is home. It will be some good extra money plus another outlet for me. I will start teaching dance classes but not until next year, I'm going to focus on having a baby right now :)
I'm also working on some writing porjects and I'm writing a proposal for Big Horn County's Insurace policies.

Thanksgiving In Jackson

Thanksgiving was really good! It was a little short but it was a good drive and a fun trip with family! Dinner was delicious thanks to all involved! We even had cute candy turkeys on our plates. The girls also made turkey baskets and candy trains with their cousin Cameron. They had a blast playing not only with Cameron but Aunt's and Uncle's and Grandma and Grandpa. I unfortunately didn't get enough pics so check out ruth's blog and Cathy's blog for more cute ones.
Cloe Really enjoyed the Cowboy hats and putting her dogs to sleep in one.
Cloe and Cousin Cameron. My tough children. Cloe hit the cement face first that's what her boo boo's are.

Cameron, Aunt Brenda, Cloe, and me, getting a chance to relax thanksgiving. And here are some silly pics with Aunt Ruth and Uncle Steve included. We also enjoyed playing board games and shopping, and the girls got to go in the hot tub we won't talk about the crazy fits that happened after the fun! :)

I hope everyone's thanksgiving was just as good as ours! :)

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

I hope that everyone has a great thanksgiving! I have been busy all morning making pies, my contribution to thanksgiving dinner this year. I made cherry, Apple, and 3 pumpkin pies. I wouldn't want anyone to not get a piece of pumpkin at thanksgiving. :) The third pumpkin is my personal favorite it's got cream cheese swirls. My crusts were all bought because I had a good deal but the only filling I felt was best completely from a can was cherry I cut apples and eveything. So I hope they all worked out I'm sure I will have some tweaking to do in the future. But I'm really ready to eat pies now.
The Girls made Turkey's using their Hands as the feathers.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!!!

Accessorize

The girls love their bag of Jewelry. So they get out their bag and try to put everything on. Also even thought there are tons of everything they still fight over certain things! But they are so cute with them. I'm Paranoid so their jewelry bag is kept up high unless they ask me for it. I just get scared that someone is going to choke. I think it also makes it more fun when they do get it out because they are not just in a mess with the rest of their toys. Which is one of my next projects: Toy Organization.

The Bruise

Dakota did not want to go to bed and was crying then the crying got worse so I went in to check on her and she was getting out of her bed. So I thought she bumped her head I gave her hugs and kisses and put her back to bed and in the morning she woke up like this. I guess she really did bump her head. She had a bruise about six months ago on her eye too.

Here she is really enjoying dinner and giving Daddy a Grrrr face! Here is Cloe's Grrr face! They are awfully cute for mean grrr faces.

P.S. We had Taco's for dinner, it was a hit! :)

Baked Spaghetti

For those of you who don't know Brent is one of the pickiest eaters ever. It is really hard to cook for him and two little girls who also have their own pickiness too. I really don't like cooking because I can't ever please everyone and I don't really get to make foods that I love so it just usually feels like I'm cooking and praying that someone will eat supper! Dakota she is usually the one I can count on devouring dinner! I Decided to make a baked spaghetti instead of regular because I thought that Brent said he liked it when we had it before and the girls love spaghetti and I thought it would be a hit. Everyone pretty much ate it but even I knew it wasn't the best meal I had ever made but despite it all Brent led the girls in cheering for supper and giving a round of applause it really made me feel appreciated and that Brent knows I work hard at dinner even though it isn't always what everyone enjoys the best. Thanks Brent!
And thanks Dakota. She is trying to eat like a dog, one of the girl's favorite things to do. (Just turn your head and Don't watch and try not to laugh even though she is smooshing her face in the food and rubbing it all around.)

A is for Apple

The girls and I are going to be having School time about four times a week for about 30 minutes. I'm going to pick a theme and come up with activities to go with it. I got most of my things this week from First-School it is a really neat site with letter tracing pages and tons of coloring pages, crafts ideas, and even recipe ideas. It has been really helpful in getting me motivated and going and the girls seem to be learning things and enjoying it.

We have been talking about what colors apples are and why they are healthy for us and where they come from and we have been talking about and writing the letter A. And we have been learning about what other things are healthy for us.

Our apple stamp and leaf picture.

Our Cooking experiment with apples.

Our coloring pages and worksheets.

We also made a grocery list for mom. I printed out a bunch of pictures of healthy food and unhealthy food and they had to pick the healthy ones out to make our grocery list and then we went to the store with their pictures and they helped pick out the healthy groceries.

Things we learned:

Cloe: When we were going outside in the rain we put our coats on and we were heading out and Cloe said, "You need to rip (zip) me up and keep my body healthy." Also, I asked her why are apples healthy for us, "Vitamins." I didn't really know if they were paying attention.

Dakota: When reviewing what we learned to daddy I asked what does the letter A say (Fulling expecting Cloe to answer) and Dakota says, "aaaa."
