Mcdonalds

Alright so I have started the process of what is called PDF. Or parent directed feedings. Instead of feeding dakota whenever she tells me she's hungry, I have come up with a schedule for her to get used to so my days are more predictable and so that she will sleep through the night. It's all talked about in a book called babywise. Basicly at her age she needs to eat about 4 times a day at least every four hours then I make the schedule to fit her needs based on the routine of Feed/Waketime/Sleeptime. It really is good. And I can already tell a difference in Dakota's countenance. She hasn't been crying as much or as fussy. I've just started letting her cry back to sleep when she wakes at night. And she's woke up happy and not crying. I think this will work. It was hard to hear her cry but I know she needs to learn to relax herself to sleep through the night. (Which will be better for the whole family.)

Brent is taking finals this week and is studying a lot. I can't wait for them to be over and for Christmas to come. He also gave a talk on sunday and did a great job, telling stories about service and leaving a good message.

Monday night was crazy. Kids were cranky, Brent was studying. And by the time I had a minute to say "let's have FHE" the kids were in bed and brent was studying, so simply it didn't happen. But tuesday night, we took the girls to Mcdonalds and let Cloe play in the playplace. She had a blast and it was even a good family activity. No one else was there so, I got in with her and then Dakota even got to go down the slide a couple of times. It was a fun night.

Graham Crackers

Monday night we did gingerbread houses, well gingerbread house, my supplies were limited and it was easier. So brent was the project manager, and Cloe was the candy Queen, Dakota was trying to get into everything, I was in charge of decorations, with assistance. Brent was complaining about all of the earthquakes (Caused by small children) That kept making our house fall, we did finally get one up. We had fun. Our lesson was Mr. Krueger's Christmas with the message of Love and Christmas.

Today, The Girls and I made four different kinds of Cookies for our cookie plates. And for us to eat too. Also today unfortunatly, Cloe got her fingers slamed in a door, her friends were over and they were getting carried away. But she is okay, she just needed, some ice, a movie, a nap, and some cookies. And she was better again. Except the occational, owe. Dakota is crusing the furniture, and wanting to do everything that we are doing. She is just a cutie, she loves to put her hands way up in the air, it's really cute. I guess you'd just have to see it. Oh and We also made a fort last Friday the girls enjoyed playing in it for a little bit.

Sick!!

Okay so I have two sick kids. Runny noses, the works. Which means I'm getting even less sleep than before. So, FHE was supposed to be family pictures but nobody looked all that well, so instead we went to the store and got meds. WE forgot to do the lesson, so I guess I will have to report that next week. This weekend cloe went to her friend lilyan's birthday party. Fortunatly she did not try to take the gift that we got for her friend. I was fearing that. She did however throw three fits. I'm still learning to discipline in public, but I'm getting better at it. I guess the motto should go, "Forget everybody else, and do what needs to be done." We only made it to sacrament meeting for church since I'm in nursery, I couldn't just not bring cloe to nursery so we went home. We rented movies and had pizza on saturday. It was a pretty good weekend.

FHE

Hey i thought I would share what our family does for Family Home Evening maybe to share ideas. :) Last night we watched a movie and our lesson was based out of a New Era Article called More or Less. It talked about Buying less but trying to achieve more spiritual growth. Sometimes more is less and less is more. :) Oh yeah, and we had No bakes for a treat.

Winter is here!!

I love winter!!! It gets sooo Cold!! But my Favorite part is that I get to cuddle in the blankets with my hubby! :) (I had to post this one cuz i figured how to get pics on my post! :)

Quilt

Okay I decided to make a Blanket for my sister for christmas. A little last minute since I have to mail it to Canada. But hey I surprisingly got fabric on monday and I'm done today thursday. (It's one of those rag quilts trish, it is easy!!) Cloe is having problems with Dakota now. Because she is crawling all over and getting into all of her stuff. :) But it's all worth it for those times when they are playing nice and laughing together.

The First pic is of Dakota and the Blanket I made for her. The secound one is the one that I just finished for my sister. I haven't washed it yet so it's not quite ragged yet. :)

I did it!!!

I did it!! I made a blog. That was easy. I'm not sure quite what to do with it yet. But cool!! :) yeah!!
