Cakes

Me and my sister Holly.  I made this cake for her bridal shower.  I made a special trip to Casper for the night.  Her favorite flowers are callalillies so I made my first ones and I think that they turned out pretty good it was fun and I'm glad I got to make my sissy happy!  It was fun to see her so happy and get to know her better then and also when I stayed in WA and got to spend a couple days with her after her wedding.  (Pictures to come)  I love Holly Because:  She is Smart, She is Fun, She is Kind, She is Considerate, She is Thoughtful, and She is Brave!

Brent and I got to spend some time together alone without the kiddos for a few days and it was a really nice bonding experience.  We got to play Tennis go out to dinner, visit, and it was also his birthday so we went and played golf my first time going around all 9 holes of golf it was quite the adventure.  I did not get any lost balls or any mulligans.  Hurry for me, my score of 84 on nine holes of golf I'd say was pretty great too. :)  Of course I didn't beat brent but I can say that I can beat him on all the words games we've been playing, again hurray for me. :)  Here is a picture of the "cake" brent wanted for his birthday.  Two pans of Brownies one with the frosting that sister wertzberger made and one plain for icecream.  (Sister wertzberger did make him some and bring it to the house) what a nice lady.  The candles are supposed to be a thirty. :) (As you can see I can make very pretty cakes, but give the man what he wants and he's happy.:)  I Love Brent Because: He Loves Me and shows it, He is Thoughtful, He Listens to Me, He is Funny, He is Creative, He is Supportive, He is Forgiving, He is Hard-Working, He Doesn't Give Up, He is Faithful, and He Believes in Me and Us. :) I love you Brent!!! I had fun with you on your birthday even if you did win. :)

Pig Wrestling!

Kota Went Pig Wrestling at the county Fair this year.  Their Names were the Side Pork Dorks!
Her best Friend Mataja asked her to be on their team with her cousins and made her a matching shirt and her friend was nervous so Kota grabbed her hand and encouarged her in and then they all got in and the boys started and then Kota was the only one who got the pig off the ground grabbed his tummy and squizzed him.  Later she told me, "It's okay to squeeze them."  We did tell her she could actually squeeze it cuz we are usually telling her not to squeeze animals. :)

They didn't get it in the barrel but they never gave up, they never let that pig go.  And when they called time Kota and Mataja kept trying until they made them get out. :)  Great time!

Beach photos found!!!

We love Water Fun!!!  the water was pretty shallow a long ways out and it was very sandy bottom so you didn't have to worry about hurting your feet plus it was warm. The Girls swam, waded, floated and got to have some more freedom with their life jackets.  The built sand castles and we wrote our name and got Henna tattos from the girls sitting by us.  Kota was enjoying some one on one time with mom whenever i asked her what her favorite parts were she would say the things that her and I did together.  Like looked for shells and sea glass together.  And then we also did a lot of the berry picking together.  It's nice to see that she enjoys spending time with mom! I like it too. I'm so glad that I had this time with our family!

We had a great trip to WI many others states :) and to Canada.
26 our drive on the way there and 24 hour trip home.  We survived in fact it was really nice and the kids were good.  A couple things I did to make the drive better were:
1.) Travel tickets: they had one ticket for each hour of that day of the drive and every hour down on the drive they would give my a ticket so they would know about how much longer the drive was
2.) DVD's and new ones too
3.) DS and ipod games
4.) Books on tape
5.) Coloring
6.) A map of the trip and where we were
7.) Snacks
8.)Water
9.) Sleeping
10.) Practice ABC's and Sight words
11.) Surprises...little toys or the new DVD's or coloring books, crayons, stickers, etc.  (they didn't end up being a surprise by the end cuz about everytime they gave me a ticket they's ask for a surprise. :)

Projects too!

The side yard is still a dirt patch but it sure makes a nice place for the dogs to roam and the kids to play and for a garden to grow.  Brent's made a dog house for the dogs in that lean too there and he made some garden boxes and our garden looks great this year, Yeah!!
This is our girls playhouse!!!! I had the idea and the motivation for others :)  Thanks to Brent for building it, thanks to The Anderson's for the window and the wood for the door, thanks to me and the girls for priming and painting the base colors, thanks to Tina Terry for painting the beautiful artwork, I love the tree, flowers and Butterfly's!! I am still going to stain the door and brent's going to shingle the roof but overall I am happy with the house.  There is a sandbox inside and the steping stones outside have the girls handprints and names on them.

Here is my beautiful Garden.  It could use some growth and and color editing but I am please that I didn't kill everything this year that things can grow from seeds and my willingness to wait for things.  Thanks to Cassie for my perennials.

I made Doughnut holes for our trip to Canada.  I hate it when up pack food to save money and it doesn't end up doing that because they secretly don't eat the food you sent back and by the time you realize that it's not eaten the foods gone bad and they are hungry and grouchy and so are you.  So you end up having to spend more money on food along the way and counteracts the plan in the first place.  So I decided that making food we don't normally eat might help them actually eat what I pack.  Cross your fingers!
I made this taggie for Ella I must say she loves it!!

This isn't a great before picture of this dresser but you can see that I really changed the color.
I did a cream paint with a grown glaze to make it look atique and the put new knobs on it.
This also isn't a great before picture of the table but you can get an idea.
I also did pretty much the same thing with this table that I did with the dresser except I also did a poly finish so it can be cleaned easier and wear better.  I'm glad it gave my table and dresser more years with us and saved me money thanks to Erica for letting be use her glaze and I guess Ruth too cuz it was passed from her.  Thanks to Cathy for the new dinning room Chairs.
