Fireworks and Friends

I made red(sprinkles), white(cream cheese frosting and sugar cookie), and Blue (blueberry) cookies for the forth they tasted great and were fun to see and make too.
Brent and the girls and I went for a bike ride and picnic to the park on the forth of july that was really nice but the only picture I had from the outing was this long hair on brent ear that I found when we were laying on out picnic blanket. Don't worry it's not there anymore. :)
The weekend before we went camping with our friends, we had a lot of fun playing campfire games and hanging out.  I loved it when Paige was trying to marry everyone.  She made them ring and wanted them to kiss and dance too cute.  She tried to marry Dad too and he said what about to Mom and she said, "She's already married."

We went to the the Russells for Fireworks and BBQ we had a lot of fun great family.  The fireworks were fun too. Sparklers, parachuttes, tanks and smokers for the kids and then big ones for us all to watch one accidently tipped and shot out toward the audience my favorite part was when Cassie was helping get all the kids away from it she had Cloe and Cloe said, "wait my shoe," and Cassie said, "Forget the Shoe!"  We were all safe and decided to sit back a little bit more. :) A lot of fun!

Summer Activities

Little Scietists: Cool bubbles made with dry ice that they got to hold was awesome!

They Dove for those rings and then had to bring them back to their teachers, I saw kota out their asking her teacher to help her find her ring she said she couldn't find it and so she was looking for it and then kota takes it out from behind her back and says, "Just kidding, Here it is!"
Swimming Lessons: Kota and Cloe they are great swimmers and can swim by themselves even in the ten foot, they went off the diving board without life jackets, cloe touched the bottom of the ten foot with her feet, lot's of learning!
Paige had to do a lot of waiting and watching but she was a good sport especially when mom or dad took her to the gas station across the street for a treat. :)
We've been playing out with water toys in the yard making our own little water park.  WE even had one day where we had tons of friends over and it was a blast.
Since Paige didn't get to do Swim lessons or t-ball we made sure she had other things to do like go to the park and we also went to open swim at least once a week.

T-Ball season was fun Cloe and dakota played. Paige had fun with her friend Callie watching games and practices.  Cloe really did a great job this year I was so impressed by her progress and confidence from last year.  She played pitcher the first game and she got the ball almost every hit and threw it to first.  She also played catcher and did a good job there too.  Kota said, "Mom I don't like t-ball." I said "why not" She said, "Because I am so confused."    Poor girl thought she had it figured out and just kept running around the bases she didn't know that there was only supposed to be one person per base so they sent her back to second base where the second baseman wouldn't get off the base and then when the ball was hit she thought she was supposed to run the other way because they had her go backwards so she ran the opposite way.  They had a great coach you could tell that he enjoyed the kids and did really good excersizes with them he even brought water balloons to one of the pracitces and had them practice trowing with those, then they ogt to throw them at him. :)

Paige and Kota are doing a little scientist acitivty at the rec center.  Kota was excited all summer about it and she loves it. She said, "I'm going to be a cow girl and a science girl."  She's also been learning to read small books and told me that she loves to read. These pictures were from chemistry day where they made goooo and slime Paige finally decided to touch it even though she got messy.  She does not like to be messy the only place she doesn't really mind it is on her face because she can't see it.

Cloe is doing summer school. And the girls have also been doing horse riding lessons, they have been able to ride by themselves in the small round pen so that's been exciting and fun!

I did a presentation at the library about dance and showed them some dances too.  I taught a Hip Hop dance workshop this summer it was a lot of fun!  I also taught some dance history with my workshop and I one of the things that I taught about was Tap dance and how the african american started this dance.  I had an African american girl in the class and i could tell she was really interested and she asked questions about it, she was normally very shy.  Then later her church leader told me that she said during chruch that her god send was Tap dance she told her, "My dance teacher taught me about this dance tap."

Brent is busy Working, Golfing, and working in the yard and building the girls a playhouse I will update with pictures later.

Summer has been so busy! I packed the days full of activities and friends and School time! Paige keeps saying, "I like you teacher!"  We've been really enjoying Summer!

Rainbow Chase

We found a Beautiful Double Rainbow at the begining of the summer and the girls desperatly wanted to find the pot of Gold at the end. Brent and I were in the yard doing yard work and then we spontaneously took the girls out on a rainbow chase. It was a lot of fun the girls were really into it. KotaLee, " That Tricky leprocon keeps moving the rainbow."

A family drive up the mountain and a picnic and wildflower picking we found this moose enjoying the moose at the bottom of Casey's Pond.

We are watching my mom's dog, Jasper, for a couple months this summer! Awe look at that face! "Let me out of hear, please."

The end of Kindergarden

Cloe's Award Day At school! It's always fun to see her at school and I also love that she still loves to see me come to school!

For Cloe's End of the year Field Trip they went to the Dairy Farm and got to climb up the hay and sounds like it was a lot of fun. I like how small she looks compared to the huge stack of hay.
We went to the Bike rodeo and had a lot of fun face painting a tractor and barrel train ride and the bounce house! We went we played we ate and we left just before the storm! Fun Time!

My Bday and Mother's Day

On mother's day unfortunately Brent had to work the night before so it left me fending for myself that day I even had to cook my own meals, wash my own dishes, and take care of my own kids. :) This is something Brent would normally pamper me and do for me on mother's day so needless to say I was a little disappointed :).  Brent gave me a back rub later to make up for it, good man! The girls were so sweet helping me and hugging me and giving me gifts.  It was a great mother's day the best thing was when I told Brent the day after that it was my birthday the next Friday he said, "What we just had mother's day."

He didn't disappoint it was also a great birthday he got me a cake and took me on a date, the girls and him got me jewelry and some of my best girl friends surprised me after dinner for some girls time and dessert. I have been watching my wait lately and lost a total of 20 lbs, yeah, so for my birthday day I told myself I was going to eat whatever I wanted by the end of the day I was wishing I would have given myself a different gift. :)  Also, I received so many great birthday wishes and cards this year that meant a lot I felt like a very special person. Thanks!

Summer?

Thanks to Aunt Lee the girls have this fun Arial blow up pool.  I thought that the canopy was very cute until we blew it up and realized that it would not be a canopy instead it was a water floaty and the girls enjoyed it even better that way I think. :) anyway they had fun! Since school has gotten out we have been having chilly rainy days this hot summer day happened a couple weeks ago. :)

Cloe and Kota started t-ball tonight I can't believe how big Cloe is getting and  a lot better at t-ball this year.  Kota seemed more interested in the boys than the ball.  It's starting already!

Memorial Day was spent putting flowers on and visiting Brent's family's graves.  We also went up the mountain and saw elk and deer and snow and the last picture isn't a bad picture, that's fog!  Where did those sunny teaser days go! :) Brent was loving it, but I was looking forward to some good rays.

Bye Bye Binky

Is it Just me or did Paige Morph into Barbie?
 Oh there she is!
She decided that she was ready to say good bye to her Binky in exchange for a Balloon to keep and one to let the balloon float away.  (we had been talking it over for weeks and reading about etc.) And after mommy had a melt down over a popped balloon and a closed store we continued to enjoy the good bye Binky activity.  Fortunately for her the Binky was too heavy to officially let the balloon loose this way so we played parachute with it in the yard for a bit and then she was ready to say good bye and she got to cut the Binky into the garbage and then she also got to keep her balloon.  I was worried for the few weeks ahead of sleepless night and was pleasantly surprised that the first night that the Binky was amiss that she did not cry or get out of bed once.  Whew, she must have been ready.  The sweetest thing though was that night I heard a faint sweet voice coming from her bedroom say once, "Binky." Like she was saying a sweet I'll miss you good bye to her Binky.
