Living Room

These are the before pictures of the living room when I toured with the previous owner.

Here is the living room now, I haven't hung pictures back up yet.

Hearts

In lay of Valentines Day we learned about hearts and the color red! We made valentines and attempted heart shaped cupcakes and pancakes. We also made heart-shaped ladybugs, which are in our picture. Brent and I went to the ward Valentines Dinner on Friday night it was good to have a night out without the girls. We also did a drywalling project this weekend and it will look really good when we are done I will post them then. (Well, I wasn't much help with the drywall, I mostly did laundry.) I forgot to get a before picture, but I think I might still have one from when I toured with Junior (the previous owner.)

It's going up!

Dakota's hair is getting longer so I've got it up in ponies on occassion. It doesn't last very long but she loves having it done and loves it when people tell her how cute and pretty it is.

Cloe likes to have her hair done too. Hers lasts maybe half of the day.

Last weekend we took a trip to greenriver and visited grandma and grandpa casey. It was a fun trip we got to go swimming and to the show and off course enjoy some relaxing. I some how made it back home without any pictures. But the girls had a blast. They love playing at grandma's.

Wanna Kiss

My Way

This is Cloe and Dakota finding a creative way to take a nap, in their dresser drawer. :)

So, normally I tell the girls when they get into trouble something like this, "If you play in those drawers again you will go to the naughty spot." My girls do not like their time outs so it works pretty well for most behaviors. (It's hard to tell them no when they are so cute sometimes. :) There are those times of independence when my children want to wear dresses without tights out into the snow or not wear a coat or pick out a mismatched outfit. With which no punishment is required but maybe a lesson in fashion and not getting sick. Dakota has decided that after she takes a bath she does not want a towel and wants to go straight from the bath into her pajamas. I first attempted to dry her off anyway kicking and screaming but my patience soon wore off and that got old, the next try was to give her her way and try to put on pajamas that were sticking to her body and she'd scream because she couldn't get them on etc. so I went back to the kicking and screaming. Brent was helping with baths the other day and he decided to get out the blow dryer and started blowing air at her and then she ran for her towel and embraced it with open arms. So the choice was blow dryer or towel. Towel won over and I hope I will not be having this fight for awhile. :) Sometimes a good creative way will do the trick. I'm glad that Brent is an outside of the box kind of thinker.

Wedding Weekend

Aunt Andy and Cloe (top) and Brent and Dakota (bottom).Last Weekend we took a quick trip to Casper for my Dad's Wedding. We left afternoon Friday and had to leave after/during the reception Satruday to make it for brent to work Sunday Morning. By the end of the trip home my ankles were so sore and the size of baseballs. It's amazing how traveling affects your body and how much worse it is when your pregnant. :)

Dakota

What a sweet girl she is! I really love spending time with her. The other day I took her on a Mommy Date to the store! I know it's not the most exciting thing to do, but the point was to spend some time alone with her. It was amazing to see the difference in her personality when it was just her. I didn't have a single disciplinary problem, she helped picked out groceries (the cutest was her picking up the really heavy milk jugs), she talked with me (she told me all sorts of stories), and listened very well. It was so neat to see her this way. In the pictures she was so cute and picked out her outfit, very boyish but still the cutest smiliest girl. :)
