Fashion 101 Lesson Plan:

Objective: Find inspiration, material, and skill.

Materials needed: Fabric from my left over material box, Buttons, thread, scissors, sewing machine...

Lesson: Must complete two child dresses with no pattern only imagination and measurements.

Next weeks lesson: Learning the shape of a little girl so the dresses and girls don't look like rectangles and triangles.

5 Months Old

She is now five months old, I can't believe how fast she has grown, she was supposed to stay smaller longer. We really are enjoying her though. She has rolled several times but she is not rolling or mobile yet.

Family Home evening we enjoyed the sunbeam song (Cloe), a wonderful lesson about the temple (Dad), a game of duck duck goose(was supposed to be mom but Dakota started the game before I got to pick :), and chocolate chip cookies for dessert(Dakota). It never ceases to amaze me how much fun we have when we have a nice planned out family activity. Sometimes I am tempted to say oh we spend time together as a family all the time everyday or this is a good family home evening. But we always have more fun when we just do it right :). I am rejuvenated to having family home evening in a more prepared fashion. One of the hardest things for us has been Brent's work schedule because every Monday night just doesn't work when he's at work so we tried his first day off but that didn't always work because sometimes we hadn't had family meeting yet etc. etc. so the next thing we are going to try is Family meeting first day off and Family Home evening the second and I will be putting the scheduled days on the calender. So we will be working with brent's work week and not a normal week. Also knowing that I will probablly have to change this plan in the future as well :) when kids go to school or Brent's schedule changes...

Here is Cloe and Dakota just being Silly. They take things out of my donate pile (love to play with them once they are there) and they were playing train. Cloe would not stop making that face and Dakota had so many cute faces I could not get them all. (Stinkin' chair)

We had a blast up at Camp! It's always good to get away and spend time with family.

Camping Hair

I did their Hair "camping" Style before we left for camp. It was a good way for me to not worry about doing or washing their hair while we were camping. Uncle darren however referred to my children as coming from african or jamacan decent. It took me forever to do, the girls were great sports. It ended up working pretty well for camp and cute too I must say. :)

Road Construction

Whoa is the season of Road construction. One of those things that I have no control over and have come to accept that I do not so I need not be angry about it. This last time though, on my way to Casper, I was particularly perturbed because not only was it one of the longest pilot drives I've ever had mileage wise, I rolled up just to have the sign turn to stop, it was also in the longest stretch of highway known to man between Casper and Shoshone, and it was also even prolonged in that my child would not stop crying and the others were whining and I could not pull over due to the road construction, so I was feeling mighty helpless. Needless to say that this specific incident regarding the road construction was escalated. Oh well live and learn. So on to my trip to Casper it was a lot of fun just hanging out with family and friends really nothing too exciting, but I have come to realize that the less "exciting" the events the more fun I have. So here are some pics.

First Meal

Here is Paige excited and ready to get her first meal. American pediatrics is saying they start at four months but La leche has changed to saying six months. So we picked four months that's what we did with the rest of our children and it works for us. And I should definitely say that it worked for Paige because she would get frustrated at the dinner table when the rest of us were eating and she even tried grabbing things like plates.Our other girls really didn't eat much their first meal it was more pushing things out with their tongue. Cloe ate the least Dakota ate a little but Paige, man she ate. This picture is what she started with.

There was some bit of mess and learning with the food being pushed back out and cereal up in her eye lashes (I'm not sure how that got there) but I must say job well done for miss Paige and she's is not hiding it. :)
