Billings

Dakota being funny!!Watching TV

Since I was still a little shaky from the accident my mom came up and drove me to billings for Cloe Docter Apointment with the Pediatric orthopedic Surgeon about Cloe's knee. Before I tell you what the Doctor said I want to remind you what the orthopedic surgeon in Powell told me, "She has a torn meniscus, the growth is abnormal, and we will have to do surgery on it some day maybe in two years."
So, we drive all the way to billings and now this doctor says that there might be a torn meniscus but they can't even really tell and that that is what the radiologist even wrote, apparently I couldn't understand the jargon. She does have the larger meniscus for sure but there are other kids who have this who just grow out of it or have surgery went they are older. He says that he would not recommend surgery because the risk factor is a lot higher then actually keeping it the way it is. There is a big posibility that they trim the cartiladge that she needed. His suggestion was to just keep going like we are, tylenol everyday. Unless it locks up and stays that way or swells a lot or the pain gets worse. How much worse does the pain have to get? AHHHH anyway, I do understand the risks and I didn't know that they weren't even sure that it was torn so.....I don't know...I just feel so bad for her. They want her to keep getting check ups on it and he said he didn't think Physical Therapy would help but I'm going to get a second oppinion about that.
Also, Grandma and Grandpa Casey are coming down to pick up a work truck in Powell and are going to let us borrow their jeep until we get our tax money back which is going to take longer because apparently the Tornado torn down some stuff at their head center. Brent works till Monday so we'll be going to our new ward alone. Pray for good Kids. :)

Casper

I just got back from Casper I've been there since the accident and Brent came when he was done working for four days. Besides I think the obvious we had a good trip. Andrea Graduated from High School, my youngest sister, officially grown up. I still think of her as my little sister though. I did a lot of relaxing and shopping. Both were well needed. I did drive in town but I have not got up the nerve to drive on the highway yet, especailly alone with my girls. It's hard enough to let someone else drive. Brent was laughing at me going down the canyon on the way home everytime we'd turn I'd squeeze the door handle and it would squeek so eveytime I was scared he knew cuz he heard the squeeking. I got to see my grandparents and parents and sisters and even steve and ruth so it was a good trip. I also got to get together with some friends and go on a date with brent. We are back home safe, sound, and stinky. Thank goodness we are all here to appreciate this lovely home. :)

The pictures!

Dakota was right under the big dip. How lucky how lucky. We are counting our blessings.

So these are the pics of the after mass of the accident. The insurance agent told us not to buy anything yet just in case I just kind of laughed, they hadn't seen it yet.

uhhhhh

I don't even know how to begin this post or where to start.  I was heading to Casper Wednesday morning to go to my sister's Graduation I was leaving wednesday because brent started his four days of work and I wanted to get away from our new "house" So Cloe, Dakota, and I headed oiut on our Journey. I was about on hour on the road and the girls were in the back seat in their carseats. Dakota had just fallen asleep and Cloe kept asking me for things so I was reaching back to hand her something and I started trailing off the other side of the road so I tried to get us back on the road and I over corrected and I started sliding sideways and I tried to correct again and then we hit the ditch in the road and started rolling.  We were in our truck the dodge dakota.  I don't even know how many times we rolled it felt like forever.  (Brent guessing about three times.)  All I could think of as we were rolling were my girls in the back seat, the most horrible feeling in the world.  THinking that they might be gone or that I might be. The truck finally rolled to it's tires and I took my seat belt off and looked at the girls. Cloe was in total shock but looked fine.  I looked over at Dakota and she bleeding all over her forehead and I didn't know what to do. The side of the car that hit the worst was right above dakota's head and the window had shattered and spread all over her.  She looked in a daze but I also knew that she had been sleeping so that could have had something to do with it. But she never cried and didn't make a sound I started to get her out of her seat because all I wanted to do was hold her and make everything better. I felt and feel so bad.  Anyway, a guy stopped and told me to leave her, I told him to call 911 because I couldn't find my phone and he didn't have one so he went out looking for it, he saw the whole thing.  Another guy stopped and called the ambulance I tried to stay calm for the girls but I had a hard time keeping it all in we tried singing songs.  Cloe said, "Mom the car is broken...mom owies...Dakota is leaking....she needs a bandaid." I didn't even notice my own injury until Cloe pointed them out and the amubulance got there. They took the kids out in there car seats, and dakota was smiling at the people, I can't believe that she didn't even cry when they took her out and away from me (that's a first) The put my in a neckbrace and strapped me to a board and took us to the hospital I remember shaking and shattering uncontrollable and the image of the accident rolling through my head, Cloe kept asking me if I was ok and I said I was and I asked her the same, she said she was okay. When I knew that Dakota was ok was when I heard her laughing behind me.  I can't believe I let this happen.  At the Hospital we had x-ray's and cat scans and fortunately let us go that day.  I couldn't get ahold of brent and I talked breifly to my dad in and out of service he called brent and told him all that he knew that I was in a bad accident and that dakota was bleeding, the police also called him and told him that the girls were ok, but when he got the hospital and saw me strapped to a board he was scared but hoped that it was just a precation.  He checked to make sure that the girls were ok and then came over to me and won't admit that he was almost in tears, he joked and said, that he didn't know that I wanted a van that badly.

Anyway, the lord was with us that day and I know that he helped us survive it just makes me appreciate all that I have and my beautiful girls and I know how lucky I am.  I still can't believe what happened and that we made it through.

Brent does have pictures but I don't have them right now. In the end I have a badly bruised and swollen left side, mostly where the seat belt was. Dakota has cuts and bruises on her head and a little swollen. Cloe has a small mark from the belt on the car seat and is really upset about the car accident.  She keeps telling all drivers to slow down and wanting to hold my hand in the car and keeps talking about our bad and broken car and dakota's owies.

We're in and hopefully out!

Bye Powell
The girls enjoying our "different house" as Cloe put it.

We are in Greybull officially. We have left Powell, and I do miss it already. I think since Brent and I have been together and we have lived in five places and I think I was saddest to leave Powell. Especially, since I am not so happy about were we are living. I have about 4 leads on some rentals and are looking at maybe buying something too. We are keeping our options really open. This place we are in pretty much stinks and not just because it's kind of old and gross but also because it really stinks, my air freshening efforts are only working half of the time. I told brent that I'm mostly sad for the girls. Cloe said the other night, "I want to go home." It's tough on Dakota too she is extra fussy and is having trouble sleeping. She normaly would sleep only in her own bed by herself and would never fall asleep in my arms and now she wants me to hold her untill she falls asleep. I met a nice young mom today at the park her girls are about the same ages as mine but she also has two more older girls, it was kind of funny because I found out that she got the house that we almost got that was really nice. It made me feel a little better knowing that someone else who really needed it got it.

So, I haven't unpacked and don't plan on it yet, I've got the essencials out and I like what Cathy said to do, kind of pretend like we are camping. :)

I found out last night that the washer doesn't work, a little late because I had a big load of clothes in there and it stops and leaves all our clothes in all the water. I had to ring it all out and luckily our dryer worked and had to dry it over and over again.

I feel a little back to civilaztion now that I have internet back and Brent is enjoying the cable. Also there is this really nice path be the river that we can hop on right close by. I also have some Iris's and a rose bush that just need some love.

We got it!

We have officially gotten the trailer in Greybull (the pictures previously posted) and will be moving there the 18th of may oh which is my birthday. I just have to remind myself that it's not forever! :) It's cheap and month to month rent, so those are positives. Like I think I said before at least we are not living in a cardboard box.

Fun Kids

Friday was a great day. We took a trip to Cody. First, because we needed groceries diapers, etc etc. at Wal-Mart. But the best thing that we did was we went to the pool there at the rec center. The girls just love to go swimming. Cloe had been asking me about it all week. I think that I need to start waiting to tell her about the plans until the are coming up sooner. We topped off the fun friday with pizza and a movie. Also, the girls and I had fun trying on my old do rags. They sure are cool! :)
