Just Cuddle

So since my new Indian name is "the Finisher" I have decided to post an actual finished project. And since the last post Featured BYU I will now feature the team of our house the Wyoming Cowboys. This is Brent's Bday, father's day, and accademy Quilt (It took me awhile), I do feel a real sense of accomplishment with this project and it is a really good cuddling Blanket and my Girls are really good cuddlers too!
The only part that I had to have someone else do was the Embroidery. Wyoming Embroidery did it, I think they did a good job and they are an official Wyoming Cowboy embroiderer so that's kind of cool. I got some good advice from my mother-in-law about how to sew quilt it together. I got some good advice from the Quilt store ladies on making my own pattern. I learned how to do the invisible stitch from my mother to stitch up the pillow, I can't believe I never knew that before. Next time I would pay more attention to my cuts and take more time when I finished the edges. Brent of course was the inspiration and had some ideas for what he wanted. It did however take me a long time and was a really far stretch from the baby blankets and rag quilts I have done, but for my first big project I really thought it wasn't bad.

Butter Chicken

This meal is so good! It smells so good and tastes so good! The only problem is that I ate way to much of it and none of my other family members were brave enough to try it, wait the later was not necessarily a problem because there is a lot more for me. It is an Indian dish my sister LeeAnn introduced me to and I was craving it ever since my first meal with it. The problem is, is that it is an ethnic food and the spice pack cannot be bought in a regular grocery store not to mention a small town grocery store with limited supply and demand. So, I might have to be sending out for more of it from those of you in the big cities. :) I really really like it, thanks LeeAnn for supplying my second fix and mom I know your jealous but I couldn't save it forever. :) The other funny thing about this pic is that it has my Lee Lee BYU cup in it totally unintentionally (if that's a word).

So here is the pic of my spice packet of Butter chicken be on the look for it at any of your local ethnic food stores. I will be willing to send out funds to those who are willing to supply my next fix!

The Snowman

Our snowman kind of looks like a scary redneck man. But I really like him. I don't think I have ever built a snowman this big before and with my little girls help, I can't believe it. He's so cute despite the scare crow appeal to him. What do you think Scary or cute? :)

We had the most perfect snowman weather today and I must say that our snowman turned out perfectly too. :) Mom did the bottom, Dakota did the middle, and Cloe did the top ball. It was so cute to see Dakota rolling her ball she did a great job, when it started getting to heavy I helped a little but really she did it mostly by herself. She also put in the buttons and the belt. Cloe did the face and arms and hat. Mom did the hair and scarf. It was a fun day hanging out in the snow.

Cloe

Cloe is getting such a personality. I can't believe that she is in Sunbeams now. Even worse I totally forgot on Sunday and was wondering where in the world my child was. After church she told me I had to sit and listen to her story. She told me all about heavenly father and our bodies. it was super cute. The first thing she told me after I asked how Sunbeams was, was, "Mom, I didn't get any snacks."

Here is Cloe sporting her bling from Grandma Nessi and Aunt Andy! :)

New Years

For New Years this year I was trying to think of a resolution that wasn't so common or maybe that I haven't made before and still need work on. :) There are plenty of those. Most of the usual resolutions are Getting Healthy (Diet and Exercise), getting organized, etc etc. We had some friends over for New Years Eve to bring in the New Year and we were talking about resolutions. About how they are usually done for within the first couple months. So one of my friends calls them Goals, and one of my friends made hers before New Years so that it started before the actual New Year. I'm not sure what method you try and what method would work. But I did pick a resolution for this Year that was a little out of the norm. I am going to finish a book, weather it is good or not I will finish it. :) Brent says, "yeah finish something" I have a bad habit of starting lot's of things and then not finishing them. So, if I stick with something I'm guessing I will have better success. Plus this will last awhile so it should be a good Goal/Resolution for the New Year. Brent's is to Work Out! :) I hope that works out!

We also got our Fondue Pot out with chocolate dipping sauce. Thanks to Trevor and Trish. It was a Delicious fondue and the perfect reason to get out our fondue pot. Along with fondue some other traditional foods we had for New years were Shrimp, chips and dip, fruit, cheese and crackers. etc. The Food is always my favorite part of the celebration. :)

Dakota is such a cutie. She found these Sandals in her Closet and really wanted to wear them so I agreed even though the snow was a factor and there was the fact that they didn't fit at all.Cloe is enjoying her new toys from Santa. Her Lion cub and her doll. She just knew Santa was bringing her a Lion Cub it was so cute how sure she was, so Santa had to Deliver. :)

Merry Christmas!

Uncle Steve and the Girls playing doggies at the Sanderson's.

Our Christmas Eve Snacks for the day and for Christmas day too! Cheeseball and crackers, one of my favorite things my mom used to make for christmas, Spinach and artichoke dip, cookies, and relish tray!
Daddy Ready for bed Christmas Eve.

We had a great Christmas! Brent was working over Christmas! We were still able to do our Christmas eve traditions together when he got home. We also drove up to Casper and celebrated with my family just before Christmas! It was a really nice trip and we got to finish our Christmas shopping! Christmas Eve we went over to the Sanderson's for dinner and to hang out! Then we came home opened one present, PJ's, and read The Night Before Christmas. And went to bed to wait for Santa. :)

Christmas Day Brent was able to stay home until noon and we got to enjoy our morning opening gifts, Brent made breakfast, and we watched a movie, and just enjoyed each other. The girls playing with their new toys and jumped on Daddy. It was a good relaxing morning. Then Brent went to work and we went over to a friends for lunch. Later after naps, we went and saw Brent at work and went over to the rec center for some basketball. We of course enjoyed talking to family and watching more Christmas movies. We had a great Day! I am so Grateful for the Savior and the Light he is to the world and to my life.
Before the Girls Found that Santa Came! When Cloe woke up she popped up and said "Santa" but when we went out to the tree I said,"Did Santa Come?" Cloe Said, "No." Then she opened her Lion cub she'd been asking for and I think she realized he had come. But later she kept saying, "Santa where are you?" "I didn't see Santa" I tried to explain that he came when she was sleeping.Playing with their new things!

After they found their goodies from Santa!
Merry Christmas!!!!!

Outside Fun!

We got Bundled up and braved the cold weather! The girls had a blast out in the Snow! I'm glad that we had Snow for Christmas. They made snow angels, got pulled around in the sled, Cloe through snow and made cupcakes. We had a lot of fun! Taking the time and getting ready to go out was worth it!
